A standard Australian kitchen bench sits at about 90cm. With the platform at 45.5cm, a toddler stands with the bench at roughly chest height — high enough to work at, low enough to lean on safely.
Last few questions
What age is it actually for?
It suits children who are already walking and climbing confidently on their own — for most families that's from around 18 months — through the preschool years. Rather than going by age alone, check the numbers above against your child: they should be able to climb the 25.5cm first step themselves and stand comfortably at your bench from the 45.5cm platform.
How does the conversion to a desk and chair work?
The frame folds down on its hinges and latches into a small desk with a matching seat. It takes a few seconds and no tools, so you can switch it back and forth as often as you like during the day.
Which colour should I choose?
It's purely aesthetic — the three are identical in construction. Natural suits timber and warm-toned kitchens, White disappears into bright modern spaces, and Grey is the most forgiving with everyday marks. All three are available on pre-order and in stock.
What's the Blackboard Add-On?
It's a $39 chalkboard panel that attaches to any So Wood Learning Tower, turning it into a drawing station. It's optional, and you can add it later — you don't need to decide now.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders take 1–3 business days to process, then 2–5 business days for standard delivery within Australia. Express shipping is available at checkout for an additional cost. Pre-orders ship by 31 August.
Can I put it in the bathroom as well as the kitchen?
Yes — plenty of families move it between the kitchen bench and the bathroom sink for hand-washing and teeth-brushing. Wipe up splashes rather than leaving it standing in water, as with any timber furniture.
